Hate to be “that guy” but this was a fan mockup someone put online RIGHT after The Dark Knight. There have been no talks for a new Batman film, not even people agreeing to write a screenplay. While it’s true that this might be a “mockup” (I honestly don’t know either way), there have been talks for a new Batman film. There’s also this, and some more links that I don’t have at the ready. It’s true WB still haven’t officially announced anything, and Nolan has yet to confirm he is attached to a third movie (though he has been quoted as saying he would like to and his imdb page states he is as well) but both Michael Caine and Gary Oldman (I believe) have confirmed that filming is supposed to begin in early 2010. I’m just saying…there has been discussion about it. And with the revenue it brought in as well as all the award nominations it gathered, AND the fact it was the first comic book-based film to win an Academy Award, I find it highly unlikely a third will never be made. pee my pants. The big question is which villain will they chose, and who will portray him? I’ve heard rumors of Edward Norton as the Riddler, or more likely Johnny Depp, since Norton is signed on for two films through 2010/2011 according to IMBD. Personally I’d like to see them use some more lesser-known criminals (Hugo Strange, Blackmask, Calendar man) but my guess is they’ll choose the Riddler to make the movie more accessible…and if this poster is legit, I guess they’ve made their choice. I hope they get a little more creative with casting, Ledger was a surprise and ended up becoming one of the most memorable villains ever. Hate me for this, but I don’t like Depp as the Riddler. Every time I see him, I think Captain Jack.
